Green Manuka Honey Smoothie Recipe

 No matter what time of the year it may be there are many factors that can lower your immune system; stress, poor diet, excessive alcohol, lack of sleep, obesity, lack of exercise, medications, dehydration, smoking or even too much radiation from the skin can lower your defenses. Thus making you susceptible to feeling weak and sick! However, one of our tricks to kickstarting our body back into gear is our mean green manuka honey smoothie! Manuka honey is an excellent source of Amino Acids, B Vitamins, Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium and Zinc! So much that it is 4 x nutritional content is up to 4 times that of normal flower honeys. In 2007, data published in the Journal of Leukocyte Biology suggested that, “A 5.8-kDa component of Manuka honey stimulates immune cells via TLR4.” (1)  We love Manuka Honey so much that we also formulate it in our Facial Cream! it continuously draws moisture to the skin allowing for an all day hydrated feel and plump appearance. 1 cup fresh water

1 apple cored

2 kale leaves

1-2 sprigs fresh mint

1 tbsp lemon zest

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tsp Manuka honey

1-2 dates

1/2 inch ginger

1/2 garlic

2-3 ice cubes


Wash all produce well.

Add ingredients to blender and blend on high for 45-60 seconds until smooth.
